National Geographic

The creature I made is a cross between a Pygmy Chameleon and Bosavi Wolly Rat. I call it the Pygmy Wolly Rat-Meleon. It lives in a warm moist enviorment because it is half reptile. the characstics of my animal is : Wolly, scaly, odd, soft, rough, black eyes colorful, camouflage. Here is the story of how it came in to the world:

A brave explorer was walking through the woods setting traps. He came back to one of the traps he set up earlier. He caught a Bosavi Wolly Rat in one trap and a Pygmy Chameleon in another. The explorer was also a scientist and he just created a machine. the machine he created could morph two objects into one. It was too dangerous to use on humans so he decided to use it on the animals he caught. He put the animals in the machine. He flipped the switch, "Flip". "RRRRR", went the machine. The machine worked he now had a female Pygmy Wolly Rat- Meleon And then he made nine more female Pygmy Wolly Rat-Meleon. Then He made ten Male Pygmy Wolly Rat-Meleon, after he caught a male Bosavi Wolly Rat and a male Pygmy Chameleon.

The picture above the first Pygmy Wolly Rat-Meleon {it is a female :)}

Health and Fitness Question 5

The circulatory, respiratory, digestive, and excretory systems are considered transporting systems for the body because, things are moving in these systems. No matter if it is gases, solids, or liquids. In the circulatory system blood is moving. Blood is moving through veins, arteries, and capillaries. In the respiratory system oxygen and carbon dioxide is moving. Oxygen is coming in and carbon dioxide is going out. Oxygen enters the body through the nasal passages and then it goes down the trachea and down to the lungs and these branches branch off until they are really thin. At the end of these really thin branches is something called an alveoli, where oxygen enters the blood through the capillaries surrounding it. These capillaries are also an exit for the carbon dioxide in your blood. When you eat food it goes through your digestive system. Food and chemicals move in the digestive system. It starts in your mouth where saliva breaks down carbohydrates. Then when you sallow the broken down food and saliva goes down the esophagus. Then the stomach brakes the food down a little bit too. Then after it is partly broken down the saliva, chemicals from the stomach, and partly broken down food move to the small intestine. Where the gallbladder, the pancreas, and small intestine release chemicals to finish the job and the chemicals and digested food where it is temporarily stored. Blood and wastes moves in the excretory system. Blood goes through nephrons that are found n the kidneys. Nephrons remove wastes and excess water from the blood and the cleaned blood goes through the kidneys and stays in the body. the mixture of wastes and water is stored in the bladder until it leaves the body. That is why they are considered transport systems.

The T.A.K.S. Test

O.K. I did not want to take the “Big Ugly”. I mean it is just a review except bigger. I mean all they did was give people the willies of the T.A.K.S. test. Why do they even call it a test? The stories that were in the reading were kind of cool. I have to say it was boring. After the math all got to do was read but after the reading we got to sleep ☺. I am telling you I had “bead head”. My teacher said that those two days were about being comfortable and not to worry about the test. There was a story about a trumpet player, a dog, food stylist, a king, and a computer geek. It was like I was in prison. Just dress me up in all orange. It is over and I am happy. I mean the only benefit to me was making me bored. There was one question that tripped me up on math. It was about adding time. I did the time but then there was time in decimals it totally tripped me up. So I used some common sense. Then on reading there was a compare and contrast question that was confusing. My favorite story was the food stylist one. I never knew that some people just have some dirty tricks up their sleeve but I thought it was kind of cool. How they made the food look so good. There was also a story about a famous trumpet player meeting a boy who was so passionate about jazz. There were a few more stories but here is a good one. These two girls found a stray dog in the park. When they went to their injured dad asked him if they could keep it. He said he didn’t need a dog to trip over. Then their grandma made a deal with their dad that the dog would leave with grandma when she left. Then one night there was a fire and the dog saved them. Then the dad let them keep the dog. There was a story about a king who asked is three daughters how much they loved him they told him but the king did not like the last daughter’s response. It was, “I love you as much as people love salt.” Then one day she meets a prince and the prince helps her show the king how foolish he was. There was one where a teacher couldn’t get a computer to print something out so this new kid who didn’t have friends came up to her and fixed it for her. Then this girl whispers excitedly, “You’re a geek!” He did not like what she had called him. So he ignored her. Then there was this flyer on his desk and then he knew he was foolish too. Back to math. I am pretty sure I got a perfect paper because those were easy! It is easy if keep a cool head and relax. I guess I am happy that math and reading are over with so now bring on the science.

Future Quest

I think that the TAKS may open some doors in Texas but, not in places where they don't take the TAKS. It is just a test! I think it is to see how far up you are. Wait... I take that first comment back. It is just to see how far your up. I can be a chef or a teacher without this test. All the teachers do all year is prepare us for TAKS and they don't prepare you for life. Only that test. :( Besides a machine grades them. What if it has a malfunction and jacks up. Then we can't do anything about it. But I want to get in to a great collage, get my degree, and become a teacher or chef without having to worry about it. First have to take a test and then you have fill in a scan tron. I mean what is the scan tron about? I mean we are great artist and all but, that is an itty-bitty circle. Like smaller than the size of a pea. I mean pencil and paper is fine and all but, that is wasting a lot of paper. We would like it better in technology. It might have an effect on what grade level your in or collage if you stay in Texas for collage. But it won't have an effect on you if you leave Texas for collage or whenever.

THE RAP!!! DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN

Smittie's Class has just wrote, composed, and sang different songs. I wrote a song with my bud Alex. Our song is about Math Conversions. From the beginning I was happy to rap with my friend. I loved making this happen. I got to be silly doing this rap. My feelings at the end were the same as the beginning. My fear was that no one will like mine and Alex's rap. I didn't have any doubts that the class would support us. Rapping was fun even though I was the who rapped the whole time! Alex I am talking to you! Alex you barley rapped! I wasn't uncomfortable rapping or creating music. I would change the project to where we only had to write the lyrics and create the beat and Mr. Smith had to rap it! I wouldn't change a thing! I might consider a music career. Maybe with and instrument. I liked the messing around to where it was perfect.

My Weekend

It started out on Friday after school I went home and started clean because, Dd and his girlfriend were staying at our house for one night. They finally arrived. We all talked to one another. I played a couple of songs on my recorder. Then before we knew it... it was time to eat! We went to Razoo's for dinner. I had popcorn shrimp, my brother had chicken strips, my dad had stuffed shrimp {my mom was at work}, Candy {Dd's girlfriend} had a shrimp basket, and Dd had the same thing as my dad. But before we ate we had fried pickles and ranch with a little chili powder sprinkled on top.
